Our House Work

We over the last weeks have been redoing are house. and here are some images of what it looks like now.

Hurrah! Mostly done remodel!

Yes, we have all heard it before that remodeling takes longer than you expect and more than you expect. Our contractor did a good job on the estimates on expenses but the days were long of hammering, sanding, disorganization, etc . . . But we are VERY pleased with the final result. The kitchen cupboards are awaiting Carolyn's painting job but the rest is done, with the exception of a bit of touch up and outlet covers.

We love the change. The rooms are light and airy and the kitchen is very functional. Ahhh, the joys of counter space for our traditional homemade Christmas Eve pizza. It seems more like our home now. The additional furniture allows for more people and comfortable sprawling :)

Our sons would have preferred less work and disruption but . . . Okay, maybe there isn't a but. We survived! Just don't mention painting or remodeling for awhile, okay? But, please come see us. We would love to host you at our home.
